FAMILA SA, is a company founded in 1980 by three young workers in the meat preparation sector, combining their knowledge and skills.
The company name is derived from the combination of three musical notes: FA-MI-LA. From 6 people, 4 products and 100 million pesetas during the first years (in the local Asturian market), the company has evolved its current product range and now operates across the entire Spanish market, and figures amongst the majority of current distribution groups.
The Famila quality system is based on the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system, consisting in a series of written procedures. Although Famila has still to receive ISO 9001 quality certification, we are taking the appropriate steps to achieve this certificate in the near future.
